Monday, January 26, 2026 (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (EST)
Description
This 2 hour training, led by Cashauna Hill of The Redress Movement, explores the history and ongoing impacts of housing discrimination in the United States. Participants will learn how policies such as redlining and urban renewal shaped today’s communities, and how the Fair Housing Act was designed to address these injustices. The session will highlight current barriers to Black homeownership, including sales discrimination and appraisal bias, while connecting these challenges to wealth and equity gaps. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of housing history, fair housing responsibilities, and practical ways to promote more inclusive communities.
This course fulfills the NAR Fair Housing Education requirement for 2025-2027.
